Mission aims to help veterans match military specialties to open jobs with U.S. employers.

March 29, 2012 – Arlington, Va. – ACADEMI, a leading, privately-held training and security solutions provider serving government and commercial customers worldwide, today announced that it has joined the 100,000 Jobs Mission in support of hiring transitioning service members and military veterans.

“ACADEMI has a long history of hiring military veterans,” said ACADEMI President and CEO Ted Wright. “They’re at the heart of the training and services we provide. They may no longer wear a uniform, but they are continuing proud service to their country in a civilian capacity,” he added.

Launched in March 2011, the 100,000 Jobs Mission is made up of 37 member companies that have committed to hiring veterans, sharing best hiring practices and reporting their hiring results within the organization. Member companies include AT&T, Cisco Systems Inc., Delta Air Lines, Pitney Bowes, Verizon and others.

“We are proud to welcome ACADEMI to the 100,000 Jobs Mission,” said Maureen Casey, Executive Director of Military and Veterans Affairs at JPMorgan Chase, one of the founding member companies of the 100,000 Jobs Mission. “Their leaders recognize the tremendous value military veterans bring to their organization, and their commitment serves as an example for other businesses.”

“ACADEMI is honored to be part of 100,000 Jobs Mission’s noble goal of hiring 100,000 military veterans in open jobs suited to their specialized backgrounds. Simply put, ACADEMI employees are the best in the business,” Wright added, “and this is no doubt in large part to the strong presence of veterans both on staff and downrange.”
