Individual Protection Specialist 5-Day

About This Course

In today’s fast-paced and increasingly hazardous world, personal protection is in high demand. A Personal Protection Specialist is the individual who provides close protection from bodily harm to any person. Most Executive Protection training courses available provide instruction in full detail protection operations but the ACADEMI Individual Protection Specialist course breaks that mold by training personal protection specialists to work independently, without a full team, to protect the client. During the course, students will develop the experience, skills and confidence to work independently in a variety of situations. The training includes both live fire handgun and force-on-force marking-round scenarios developed from actual incidents in the protection field. Successful completion of the course will enable the Individual Protection Specialist to operate self-sufficiently, providing protection to a principal in a low to medium threat environment. The classroom study, extensive practical drills, and assigned work out of class will extend the training day beyond eight hours each day. The course is complemented by attending the ACADEMI Executive Survival Driving or Evasive Survival Driving course to incorporate protection driving skills. RCO Ref WO 17311
