Jack Quinn

Jack Quinn is an independent director of ACADEMI and is the co-founder and Chairman of Quinn Gillespie & Associates (QGA), serving as the firm’s chief strategist. He has been a long-time advisor to Democratic leaders and has served as counsel to numerous Democratic campaigns.

Before co-founding QGA in 2000, Mr. Quinn was a partner in the Washington, D.C., law firm of Arnold & Porter, where he practiced for 20 years. He served as Counsel to the President the United States from November 1995 to February 1997. At the time of Mr. Quinn’s appointment by President Bill Clinton, he was Vice President Al Gore’s Chief of Staff, a position he undertook in June 1993. Before his government service, Mr. Quinn was also an adjunct professor of law at Georgetown University Law Center, where he taught a seminar in constitutional law for three years.

Mr. Quinn is a 1971 graduate of Georgetown University College of Arts and Sciences and is a 1975 graduate of Georgetown University Law Center, where he was an editor of the Georgetown Law Journal. While in college and law school, he served on the staff of the United States Senate Select Committee on Nutrition and Human Needs (1969-73), the Democratic National Committee (1973) and Sen. Floyd Haskell (D-Colo., 1974-75). In 1975-76, at the age of 26, Mr. Quinn served as Campaign Director of the Udall for President campaign.

Mr. Quinn is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and has served on a number of boards, including Fannie Mae (1997-2000), the Philadelphia Stock Exchange, the Robert F. Kennedy Memorial and the Center City Consortium.
